Breaking Dawn Part 2 Bigger Than Any Other Twilight Film !

In this weeks article I chose again something on TWILIGHT'S BREAKING DAWN PART 2 ! The final film will put an end to the very popular saga that so many teens fell in love with. The movie will officially premiere on November 16, although the red carpet premiere is on November 12 at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The last film of this saga is expected to break records. Sources say that Fandango has already sold out from the pre-sale they held starting on October 1st. Although, from the previous film the most sales contender is New Moon, Summit is hoping that Part 2 will bring in more than Part 1 and New Moon.
I chose this article, because I am excited that the last film will be coming out soon since I am a huge fan of the books and the movies. As a film student it helps me realize how there is a lot of competition on who sells more in the box ! As a consumer I care, because I will be going to watch this movie at least 3 times ! And finally I really have some questions, How many of you are Twi-Hearts ? And How many of you will be going to watch this film ? I know I will !

Shailene As Mary Jane !

There will be a sequel to The Amazing Spider-man !
Mary Jane is back too. Although she will not be played by Kristen Dunst, people are saying that the role will be given to Shailene Woodley, the main character in the hit t.v. show The Secret Life of an American Teenager and she played a part in The Descendants. Sources say that Spider-man 2 will be released on May 2, 2014 and will in deed be in 3D. The role of Spider-man will be played by Andrew Garfield. Lets hope she does get the role.
I chose this article, because it was is about Spider-man and because it seemed interesting ! As a film student it affects me because I get to learn about the different role that are being given to actors. As a consumer it affects me because I like Spider-man and I will go watch it. My only question is how many people like the idea of Shailene getting the role ? And how many people will go and see the movie !

Another Season of "A.N.T. Farm

Disney Channel is ordering another season of A.N.T Farm. A children's show about Chyna Parks a musical prodigy. The creator of this comical show Dan Signer has also created many other shows for Disney Channel, such as The  Suite of Zack and Cody. So far A.N.T Farm is ranked number 1 for Disney Channel, meaning many children do watch this show. The recordings of the third season will begin in December and the new season is scheduled to come out next June 2013 !
I thought this article was pretty interesting because I have two younger sisters who enjoy watching this show, and I also have to admit I like the show as well. As a student it really doesn't affect me as much , but as a filmmaker it kinda of gives me the thought that children need distractions, and that distraction is television so obviously I would love to make children cartoons. As a consumer it probably would make me want to pay my television provider bill so I can see this new season ! My only question is how many kids are excited about this ? And how many parents allow their kids to watch this show ?

Disney and Marvel Team Up !

This weeks article is about Marvel teaming up with Disney ! The article is states how after three long years that Disney made the announcement that they were buying Marvel for $4 billion dollars they are finally moving all the way from Manhattan Beach to Glendale ! By next April the move should be completed. Approximately 160 employees will be moved out to the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA. Although many of the sequels to movies like "Thor" and "Captin America" will be shot out of state due to more favorable tax iniciatives.
This article caught my eye because I personally love the idea of Marvel being a part of Disney. It is important that as a film student and possibly a future filmmaker I am aware of everything happening in the film industry such as two very big companies teaming up. As a consumer it makes me want to know what the future projects are to go watch them. The one question I may have is that what are some of the movies they have in store for all the Marvel and Disney fans ?

Pre-Sale for Last Twilight Movie !

Twilight fans finally have something to await besides the premiere of the movie ! Pre-sales on the viewings will be available six weeks before the actually aire of the movie. The movie premieres on November 16. A day before there will be a marathon of all the other four movies in selected theaters and the audience will be able to purchase their tickets to see the anxiously waited Part 2 of Breaking Dawn. Fandango recently send out a survey found out that 32% of 1000 are anxiously awaiting the premiere and have said that," it is the most anticipated movie of the fall season".
This article caught my eye because I myself am a Twilight fan and have been counting the days for the premiere of the movie. As a student that read all the series of books it makes me anxious to finally see the film. As a future filmmaker I can see what the may do wrong and possibly criticize the film. As a consumer it affects me, because I will be spending money on this movie so it better be worth it. My questions are how many people will be going to the premiere of this movie ? Will the movie break records ? We will have to wait until November 16 and see.

California Senate and The Film Industry

This article is about the senate of California recently approving an extension on the tax credit for the film and television industry. The extension was set until the end 2015. The program was established in 2009 to halt the departure of production from California to Canadian territory that have strong inspirations through televisions series and such as films. I chose this article because it informs me as a film student and possibly a future film maker that in the state of California there are laws for the film industry. Who knew ! It really caught my eye because I didn't know that in the film industry there was a tax credit. It was shocking to me that they would have to vote for it and have to wait to see if it actually becomes a law until 2015. This makes an impact as a student because we are being informed about the different laws due to different industries. Also, this makes an impact on us as future film makers because we will be aware later on that there are certain laws or extension that we need to be aware of in the industry. My only question would be what happens if this extension isn't made into a law what will the future of all these television series and movies be ?

Apple As A Cable System

This article is about Apple talking with cable providers about creating a device to allow consumers to watch live broadcasting such as other televised programs. Many have speculated that Apple has been expected to enter the television market in one way or another; with a TV of it's own or with their ow systems. The Wall Street Journal investigated that Apple's CEO Tim Cook, met with Time Warner Cable CEO Glenn Britt. Other television providers are worried that Apple may be able to take many of their customers away.
This article caught my eye because if Apple already made a cellular device what would be the odds of them creating a television device or their own television. It's destined to happen with what the devices they have. They don't only have computers, laptops, ipods, and phones, but adding a television would't hurt them at all. This doesn't really affect the consumer. Who will be affected in Apple creating a device like this would be all the television providers such as Time Warner Cable, Dish Network, Direct TV, and At&t's U-Verse. It would actually be beneficial to the consumers because if they are offer a good price to this device it would totally attract the public. And also many people that have kids would buy the Apple device because Direct TV got rid of 26 channels, then if they had those 26 channels and had reasonable price most definitely they would be successful in that project. My only question is what kind of TV would they make and how many people would they attract.
